Life Story - In a Nutshell
Most of my life growing up was spent with computers, fixing, networking, building, breaking, etc... In my teen years - I inherited a nice film camera, but found the process of learning costly and time consuming since "one hour" photo labs were not yet invented, and cash was hard to come by.
More than six years ago, I got my hands on my first digital camera... for some, it's just a toy, but to me - it was a life changing event. Sadly, about every nine months, I find myself seeking an upgrade. The digital SLR cameras are amazing, and truly inspired me to work at my skills as a photographer, not just a point and shoot type of guy.
I have felt myself truly learn from experience in photography and enjoy every aspect of it. I am, what you would call, and addict of taking pictures. Maybe it's the fear of forgetting a memory, or the fun I have by digitally tweaking reality into my own fun world... whatever the case - my services are now for hire.
Where I Work
I work full time as a Network Administrator at a local school district. If you read my "Life Story - In a Nutshell" above, you'll understand my roots are quite deep in the computer industry. Or in other terms - a computer geek.
I have built up a home studio for photography, which while building it, kept portability in mind. Sadly, as any studio does, it takes up a lot of room and any clients wishing to use the portable studio will have to have a suitable sized room to use the backdrops.
What I Shoot With
Yep, I'm a Canon junkie. I'm probably one of the few Canon junkies who will admit Nikon has a good line of cameras too. The fist digital camera I started out with was a HP point and shoot, which I quickly upgraded to a Nikon CoolPix point and shoot. It blew away my HP. The Nikon really pulled me in. I guess I owe it to Nikon for getting me started.
I have owned many different brands and given them real test drives, but eventually fell into the Canon DSLR line of cameras.
I got my hands on the Rebel XT when it first came out and the digital world of photography changed once more for me - spawning my countless upgrades since the XT. I now own multiple lenses, flashes, bodies, filters, wireless gadgets, thing-a-ma-bobs, etc... all making a photoshoot more enjoyable.
Currently my body of choice is the Canon 50D.
